Here are my thoughts on banning feeding where CWD has been found. What about greenfields, oak flats, blackberry bushes, soybean farms, etc? Do those areas not congregate deer as well and one deer could pick up another deer’s saliva? No, not like a feeder does. That’s the simple answer. It’s about real estate..... a 2 acre green field and a trough feeder just aren’t the same

IMO, feeding in Alabama would be the least of the problems. Most of us have mineral licks and they just don't go away. That congregates them closer, passes body fluids, and when stopped being refreshed are still used for many years. this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

baiting/feeding has nothing to do with the introduction of CWD into a new area. The thought is that , ONCE INTRODUCED, feeding/baiting concentrates deer and aids in the spread. Salt licks and green fields will do the same thing.

How can feeding be so evil here and done by state agencies in other states with cwd? Sounds like excuses to me. The State dropped the ball years ago and now it’s our fault. Sounds about right.

I can live with no feeding and a tagging system but having to use a processor on every deer I kill or bury the remains 8 ft deep or take it to a lined landfill on a deer I clean myself would be a pain in the arse.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Sure will be. If that were to happen, I'll just buy a new boat, and quit deer hunting in Alabama.
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

What about burning the skull and spine? Isnt that where most of the infection resides? We build a big fire almost every weekend, would be easy to toss that in and burn it.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.
