If you see a rusty yellow 68 Ford flareside in the parking lot, that's me.
Dang. I thought a veterinarian made enough money to buy a truck.

In all seriousness, one of my clients saw me in it and called her son in law, who is a friend of mine, to ask if I was ok financially 😆gotta love those concerned neighbors.

If you read the credit score thread, you should know that you're never supposed to finance a depreciating asset. That truck was all I could afford straight cash. In all seriousness, one of my clients saw me in it and called her son in law, who is a friend of mine, to ask if I was ok financially That old truck has nicer tires than the vast majority of vehicles in Dallas Co It also has insurance and a valid tag, which in itself eliminates about 60% of cars on the road.

You know you have arrived when....your tires are almost worth as much as your vehicle.... Or the wheels cost more than the car.

Hancock's BBQ is just down the road from Morgan. There's not a lot of choices unless you want fast-food. Ha had lunch there today

The book value of my truck goes up and down depending on how much gas is in the tank. You ain't alone. I've only got one with less than 200,000 miles.

late to the thread...but I'm living in Selma nowadays. not technically Selma proper, I'm closer to Sardis or Tyler for the homestead, but...umm...we don't go into the town at night. that was the first piece of advice we got.
Other than that...I gotta tell you... folks here are pretty cool. Not had a bad daytime encounter of any sort. I'm a fat white guy, and we've been in every business I think, if nothing more just to see whats up. if you treat folks with respect, no matter what their color, I think you'll be OK. 28 years Navy taught me that. even if someone looks at you like you ain't supposed to be there, all you say is how you doing Sir or Ma'am..it makes all the difference in the world.
as for places to eat..Lannie's is amazing. Mr Waffle is kinda crap. never been to Tally Ho, its on my list but I have to be suspicious of a Ribeye for $22, might be beef, might not. the rest is fast food..
if you want some amazing lunch, get to the Vassers Marathon on Dallas ave..right next to Jack's. trust me
