I've got a couple scott air packs I need to do something with. My FIL bought a warehouse recently and asked if I wanted these to sell after they were left behind. I have no clue what someone would pay for these. What do yall think? There are two different ones in the pics. Doesn't look like they been serviced since 1999.

Not much. Bottles would need to he hydro tested and flow tested can't read the label to see if there NFPA compliany...best bet may be to donate them to a local volunteer fire Dept have them right you a letter for the donation to use on your taxes

Make a fine forge..........which you were closer. Would the PCP/airgun community have a use? Or does testing above have to be done to even use them for airguns?

Donate to a local VFD and ask for a donation receipt.

They make a heck of a portable air tank. If you have any connections with someone at a fire dept they can fill them. All you need is an oxygen or acetylene gauge and a air hose.

They aren't worth anything, 10 years after manufacture date they are to be permanently placed out of service. And more than likely if they haven't been used/serviced all the workings inside the reducer (piece that says SCOTT 2.2) are seized up. But, I am surprised that the bottles still have air in them. Those cylinders are 2216 PSI, most fire depts now use 4500 and up. Your best bet would be to donate them to a department that has capabilities of filling those and could use for air consumption training.

Don’t see many 2.2 packs around. Some of the older steel and aluminum bottles didn’t have a service life but they had to be hydro tested every 5 years. Most of your newer bottles are good for 15 years and that’s it. Doubt you get any money for it.

Those bottles don’t hold enough pressure for PCP guns.
