Masons used to literally run society and not as long ago as you might think. And by the way , I’ve been traveling for about 20 years.

Some of the best men I know are Masons. One in particular, that I look at as another father figure, is a retired Master Chief in the Navy. A sissy would be about the most polar opposite description lol.

A guy I work with is in it and when I asked him about it he recited some memorized greeting that caught me off guard. Lost interest in asking anything else after that weird exchange.

It is easier to fool a man than to convince him he has been fooled.

So is it true free masons strip you down to your underwear, blind fold you and hold a knife to your throat as an initiation tradition?
I really dont know a whole lot about them but I've done some work in one of the lodges and it creeped me out! All the symbols , hand shakes and so forth are rather strange.

Cult isn’t necessarily a bad word, but Freemasons are to the letter by definition a cult

How else you think they get them to ride the goat?

Nothing strange or sinister (this is what a cult is)
The largest, oldest fraternity in the world? Maybe

I’ve seen a buddy get out of dui because they were one. I’ve seen people get promotions and jobs because they were one as well. Gotta help a brother out.

Strange OR sinister
Religious beliefs OR practices

1) it’s a relatively small group of people
2) 99% of people not in it think it’s practices are strange

It’s a cult, so is auburn university. It doesn’t make it a bad thing

Fraternity yes. Cult in the sense of the way most view a cult no.

Some of the posts are ridiculous on this matter. It isn’t about riding a freaking goat. If Masons, Scottish Rite and Shriners that attempt to help others in the community, children etc are a cult than let it be so. There is certainly no ill will done upon others.
