Just Keep diggin . A simple apology to everyone on here (for lying)and the GW would go a long way . Pay your ticket and keep your mouth shut . And if what you are saying is true I’d write you another ticket for dragging a live deer 150 yards . whats that code number there duxlayer???? Dragging a live deer must be a felony since it was over 100 yards....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

He may need to appoint Timber2. I have a feeling GW sitting back with intel like a cocked .357 . That pic deer clearly looks alive. I highly doubt someone is purposely going to drag a live deer. “Hold on Little Bucky. Let me move you over here and pull down the apple corn backdrop for the next photo .” Smdh

I'm in the "he shot it with it's head down in the corn pile" group on this one and it seems pretty obvious, as I will agree with Hogwild, that the first pic is of a deer that is still alive at the time it was taken through the scope. Hunting and shooting over corn is just the normal course of business by the local redneck crew out in the Wilmer, Semmes and Chunchula areas. It's just how the majority of them hunt. My FIL owns land in Semmes and ever since he bought that parcel, we are constantly finding stands that dont belong on his obviously posted, private property, with corn 20-30 yds away. We take the stands and then a year or two later, more show up. That deer is not a big deer by any means or standard for Mobile county. Mobile county doesnt produce huge bucks but there are a bunch running around way bigger than that one. It's a "dink" anywhere in the state.
All this said, I am 100% in agreement with Troy, there is something called "reasonable doubt" and another called "presumption of innocence". I think that with an honest and thoughtful judge, even though it was most likely shot while standing in the corn pile, unless the original poster admitted that he shot the deer and personally took the picture, then the GW will be very hard pressed to get a conviction with just the evidence presented, but who knows what else what the GW might have found or in his possession. If all he has is this picture, with no admission of guilt from the OP, I think it gets tossed.

Another curious thought: why would someone drag a deer INTO the corn pile. I understand road access (or whatever) being to the area, but into the corn itself? That makes no sense.
The question of "was it killed over corn" isn't really even a question. Clearly it was. The question now is "can it be proven?" If you stay quiet and don't talk yourself into a hole, you may get away with this one. I will echo James on this, being familiar with this GW myself, you have now made yourself a new friend. Expect to see him often. I have always found him to be respectable and courteous, but he's no dummy.

I'd order some fake corn off the internet (have a friend do it). Take it to court and throw it on the bench and tell him that's what's in the picture. One bad gesture always deserves another.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids
Sorry op but the bristled hair on neck , mouth gaping and whites of his eyes showing is a pretty open and shut case that the deer is lying exactly where it was shot. Pay the ticket and learn a lesson . If you wanna hunt over corn, do it. Probably won’t get caught again til your 45 .
The picture may be from where he DIED, but not necessarily where he was SHOT. Every deer you shoot may drop in his tracks, but of the 6 I have shoulder or euro mounted only 2 died right at the initial shot location. Where the deer was when he was shot is what matters. If I shoot him in a legal location and he runs to the nearest convenience store and dies on a pallet of corn surrounded by rice bran. dope, and illegal cigarettes the location he expired at has nothing to do with the legality of where I shot him.

Remember that saying "You have the Right to remain Silent"! Just shut up about it and take it to court if that is what you want to do! Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words! If you win good for you and if you lose call it a lesson learned!

You’ve already lied about one statement in this thread for sure. I looked at your FB page last night and the scope pic of the deer was there. As of 1 minute ago when I looked, it’s gone. You deleted the pic. I don’t care if you killed the deer over corn or not but if you were dumb enough to kill it over bait and then post it on social media then you deserve everything that’s coming to you. I would also bet that the GW has more of a case against you than just the pics

It's still there. I just looked at it to double check. We are not friends on fb so you cant see it. I’m not going to jump on you either way, but I looked earlier and can see all kinds pics on there, except the night scope pic. So, the “we aren’t friends” argument doesn’t hold water, or else none of the pics would be visible. I’d at least make the settings where none of the pics were visible. Good luck to you, however this plays out.
