You Marshall County boys remember the case of the missing woman many years ago that was on the show Unsolved Mysteries ? She lived on the lake somewhere up river. Went for a late night walk and was never seen or heard from again. No trace , nothing. Yes, and actually she lived south of Warrenton in Point of Pines subdivision, I believe. A canoe was missing from their pier and she was gone. Seems like her remains were found buried in the woods down Cha-La-Kee Road near what we know as Black Gate area. Speculation based on that location was that Albert Ayres killed her and buried her there. He was an evil man. I truly believe that he and Satan had a very real and ongoing relationship. You cant walk in guntersville and find anybody 25 years old an up that hasnt heard this story. I know some folks who knew albert and they said he was an absolute freakshow nutcase. They was also the story i heard of the girl they did the satanic ritual on up on wyeth mountain in what they call the devils house..knowbody has lived there for years..story i heard was they set her on fire in a pentagram on the floor..but thats a story..may be wrong or not true.

Albert lived pretty close to my grandparents. He once made the mistake of talking to my aunt. My paw knocked him flat on his back. It always tickled me to hear Paw talk about it. He’d say “I had to stand on a Coca Cola box to hit the tall SOB,” he said. “What’d he do when you knocked him down, Paw?” “He just laid there.” Albert lived almost directly across the road from my grandparents. He gave my Paw a wide berth for life. Funny part of that is my Paw was a very gentle man. Albert only person I ever knew of him hitting.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

I know you're not sharing, but do you have any confirmed info. I'm aware of the rumors. We had to stand by for swift water rescue during the search.
I don't have any info that is confirmed by LEO. The info I have came from an EMT. I don't want to say more because I'm sure they are still investigating. Regardless of whether what I heard is true or not, it's still a terrible tragedy.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

If I remember right it had Karl Mauldin from the streets of San Francisco doing it. Robert Stack came after that
