Do any of y'all remember the case from about 1990 where a bass boat was found on Guntersville lake with nobody in it but blood spatter was found in the boat? Seems like this guy was very much anti bass tournament and it was speculated that somebody killed him over his stance on that. There were rumors or possibly substantiated stories that his body was weighted by car batteries and sunk in deep water. That's the last I remember of the situation. I was gone from the area for a few years after the boat was found but I don't recall them ever finding his body or ant arrests being made. Any of y'all remember this and any other details?
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I don't remember that, but in a related story... keep an eye out for more info about the kid found at Morgans Cove.

They found him. Weighted down with car batteries. Sam Strickland with Guntersville Rescue Squad found him with a graph. Sam dove on the site and water was deep. Visibility very limited. He got the idea to anchor a rope and make a sweep to cover a larger area. He was pulling the rope and hit the guy with his hand. Law enforcement knew who did it but could never get enough evidence to charge. I’m pretty sure suspect is dead now. It was a heck of an interesting case. The victim, Steve Shelley, had written an anth-tournament letter to Alabama Game & Fish, that came out right after his death. His stance on tournament fishing had nothing to do with his death.

You Marshall County boys remember the case of the missing woman many years ago that was on the show Unsolved Mysteries ? She lived on the lake somewhere up river. Went for a late night walk and was never seen or heard from again. No trace , nothing.

A canoe was missing from their pier and she was gone. Seems like her remains were found buried in the woods down Cha-La-Kee Road near what we know as Black Gate area. Speculation based on that location was that Albert Ayres killed her and buried her there. He was an evil man. I truly believe that he and Satan had a very real and ongoing relationship.

Here's the link to the woman's remains being found.....she actually lived north of where I had always thought she lived. https://www.apr.org/post/case-guntersville-woman-who-disappeared-22-years-ago-solved

What happened to the vehicle? Two teens rescued, one swept away and died. I missed it if they found the vehicle.

The vehicle was found a few days after the incident. Don't know if it was in a hole and found after the creek went down some or what but it was not found immediately.
