Not to derail but if 30 million of us showed up to DC reckon that would change polititicians minds? Think Col. Cooper founder of Gunsite famously quoted "Not many problems can't be fixed with a few hundred dollars and a .30/06." Just a thought.

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.” ― Jeff Cooper, Art of the Rifle

The 2nd Amendment is The Ultimate Road Block for the Leftist/ Liberals or We would be in the same boat with the rest of the World on the Firearm issues already. There is way too much passion at this time in the United States with the Gun culture for the Leftists to even attempt much on guns. Take a look at Colorado for example. A lot of Sherrifs in The Rural counties which is most of the state will not enforce the New gun laws there. People are tired of these Mega Population centers like Denver area controlling the Whole state. Many of the depts. around here took the same stance on Cuomo's 'safe act'. A few were pretty vocal about it.

I personally don't see a need for an AR15 or such but I do see the need for a person to have the right to own one. Because you own one doesn't make you a killer. I will give you a need, New Orleans post Katrina

A lot of folks hunt with ARs.
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”
