Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower was better than Dylan's. Even Dylan, after hearing his version, said that is how it should be played.

Metallica's version of Turn The Page is better than Seger's (and I'm a Seger fan)

This a bit sacrilegious, but Aerosmiths version of Train Kept a Rollin is better than the Yardbirds' (which was actually also a cover of an old blues song)

I like his version way better. He’s got several other good covers as well. Has some really good guitar riffs too.
