Ive hauled a bunch of 2000 lb pallets of fertilizer “40 bags” on a half ton pickup before. Get them to set pallet and all on trk with forklift then push it up to the toolbox and roll on

Had a guy load a pallet and a half in his long wheel base s10. I don’t recommend that. He put the pallet in then stack half of another around it. Same guy had 3 100lb. Propane bottles in a Ltd. and bought iodine by the case. He eventually spent a lot of time in the pokey for manufacturing

Just get a dang trailer. That Chevy should haul decent. If it were a Tacoma, it’d take a heavy load in the rear with no problem.

I’ll do loads of 40 bags in my Tundra Crewmax but I don’t have to go but about 8-9 miles and no highway travel so I can take it slow and easy. It squats it down pretty good but doesn’t bottom out.

Stopping and steering will be your problem. If you’re not going far you should be ok as long as you take it slow.

I've seen some crazy overloaded vehicles lately. I just got home from an 8-day mission trip to Haiti. It is common to see 4 adults on a motorcycle and 15-20 people in the back of a small pickup. One of the funniest sights was a motorcycle carrying 6 people and 2 goats. The taxi of choice is what Haitians call a tap-tap. Imagine a Nissan pickup with homemade stake sides and a camper shell or tin as a topper. Stuff 15-20 people in the bed and on top, plus a few goats and grain sacks. When it's your stop, you tap-tap on the roof and the driver pulls over.
