Back in the day we would run the old spur grips or the uniroyal Laredos. There was many times we would puddle the soybean fields after a rain to get the water out the holes. I remember going thru a bad hole so hard one time the old bag cellular phone bounced from the center hump on the floor onto the seat. Them old ford trucks would go back then. Bought a 93 dodge half ton short wheel base with the 360 brand new off the lot and put the Laredos on it. Put 2 new transmissions in it the first year I had it. If you could keep the trans working that thing would go. We don't plant beans no more and my old farm truck is a 2wd dodge with the cummins. But if I need to get to equipment out in the field I fire up the old Nissan 4x4 and go. You have to work hard to stick a 4x4 if you know how to handle one. I'm glad I grew up I am not so hard on stuff anymore.
