Dont have a picture but back when I was maybe 6th grade dad had a 79(I think) jeep cj5 renegade. When going fishing a few mud holes were in the way... we ended up getting buried with water over the hood and sloppy mud over the big tires. It was bad bad stuck. Messed the motor up and had to be rebuilt.

He ended up selling it a few yrs later. I'd give good money to get ahold of that old jeep or his old Chevy custom deluxe.

Wait till I tell runningdeer where his woman is. He's been upset because he hasn't heard from her in a while and there you have a pic of her.

Not my truck. But I was driving when this happens. Wasn’t my idea to go through that hole either. This was on a back road somewhere on the Butler Crenshaw county line about 8 years ago. Was one of the funnest weekends I can remember and not just because of that truck getting stuck. It was just one of those weekends that gets brought up around the campfire a lot

By the way. By the time we had got to this sippy hole we had already been through 10 holes far worse than what gomer got stuck in

We buried an R4045 Deere spinner spreader loaded half full with lime a few weeks ago. 2-280 hp Deere tractors wouldn’t budge it. Finally had a neighbor with a quad trac 570HP articulated Deere pull us out. Stayed stuck for 15 hrs

That’s what I was thinking. That doesn’t count as being stuck. Just no tires.

It involved seeing an unknown animal running across the road in the early evening and us turning off of the main road to see if we could figure out what it was. Looking back at the size and coloring, it was most likely an otter or beaver. Anyways, we got stuck and spent most of the night using a winch and chainsaw to finally get us out.

I was sitting in a 82 datsun 4x4 one time with the cab filling up with the Choctawhatchee river. Wasn't anything above the water but the the glass of the cab. Had to get a strap and go under water and hook it up. We were following an 85 Toyota which had just crossed it no problem. Within 2 years we were all driving Toyotas.

Let me just say, it is not a good idea to go riding on the mud flats of
Logan Martin Lake when they let the water down in the winter.

Back in my Army days, I threw track on my M-88 while we were mudding at Hoenfels. That sucked.

Lots to choose from but mine would be on a 4x4 ATV, probably. I crossed a creek that wasn’t very wide but plenty deep. Like, only the handle bars were showing. Speed, momentum and a sloped bank on the opposite side let me get across with no problem. Coming back was a different story. The bank I had to climb up, to get back across, was pretty much straight up, but hidden by the water. When the momentum stopped, the water choked out the engine. I had to hike out about a mile to the closest road. The problem was there was no road to get my truck to where the ATV was. I saw a house with a 4 wheeler in the yard so I went and asked the owner if he would pull me out. He agreed but all it would do is spin the tires and couldn’t pull the ATV out of the creek. So I started walking home, about another mile, and on the way passed some a guy running a skid steer. He agreed to try and get me out. He had to make a road with the skid steer to get the machine to me because it was too wide for the trail I road in on. He finally got there and had to hook a strap to the front end of the ATV and lift it out with the bucket. He pulled me home with the skid steer. Pulled the spark plug, pumped the water out, changed the fluids and fired it back up.

You hung out at Charlie’s too? I wasn’t stuck that bad but I figured out real quick the 4wd in my 89 Chevy stepside has gone out.

not a mudhole but I drove across a washed out culvert you couldnt see for the weeds next to a creek and the front tire dropped off about 4 feet the back passenger side tire was so high in the air you could walk under it scared me to death thought we were gonna roll 25 ft down into the creek

In my defense, the best mud tires in the world won't do any good if they're not touching the bottom of the rut, and the right side tires weren't. They were just spinning in water. The left side were spinning in mud, but the truck settled on its axles before the left side tires hit anything solid.

also sunk my truck up to the doors on the river bank had to climb out the windows because the doors wouldn't open right before a thunderstorm thank got I got it out or it might be in mobile now

Not stuck in mud. But had a 4 runner on the side of oak Mt once stuck on rocks. My buddy had to jump on the side rails and lean back to keep it from rolling off the Mt when it started to roll. Piled rocks on the running boards then to keep it there. His uncle that owned a wrecker finally got us off the Mt somehow that night. Yes spirits were involved. That was a long night.
