Divorced. My wife was watching the ACM Awards last night and it sounded horrible so I got up and went and worked on a Crossword Puzzle. Then this morning, I was scrolling through the Red Carpet shoot pictures and there are guys holding hands with their partners and other things that weren't socially acceptable in Country Music as little as 10 years ago. I knew however, that the papers had been signed when I only recognized about 10 out of a hundred or so names of the celebrities.
This new stuff is not my cup of tea.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Yep. I went back to the classic rock station about a year ago. Country just aint country any more.

CM has been going steadily downhill since the mid 90's. What I hear on the radio these days is pitiful. One song in 20 is listenable, but far from the quality of what it once was.

I pay $5 a month for XM radio for that very reason! I can find a channel that plays all the classic country gold. It's worth every penny. This x1000 prime country and bluegrass is about where mine stays

Jason Aldean got entertainer of the decade.  That's the best they got now! I've been done with them, that was just the latest reminder. Very little talent and originality now, most of them sound alike. Pitiful! Nobody gets divorced , goes to prison , fights or dies anymore. Songs are all bout having a big time. Feel good , everyone gets a trophy BS.

Yep. I was scanning the guide last night and saw it was on tv. I didn’t even stop. If I can’t listen to it I definitely cant watch it.

I like some of the newer artists and music. But I also don't pretend it's country music either. It's "pop" music with some fake twang for the most part. There are some very talented musicians, vocalists and song writers but they are not traditional country.
Typical of the evolution of most all musical genres. Old country music is history.
