There are a bunch of them in millers ferry. Late summer they do a bunch of jumping at dusk for what ever reason.

Yeah, used to see a lot of them down in the Mobile delta. We called them spoonbilled catfish.

That's a spoonbill. I found one on a trotline years ago and I set it free. I was on the Tensaw in Mobile.

Awesome pic and congratulations gundoc.
We had an oxbow lake in Tensaw off the Alabama river. We had several that were massive. I wouldn't even speculate on weight, but when they would splash in the evening, it could be seen from several hundred yards.
