I have switched from the hi dollar sunglasses to polarized Calcutta's. For 20-25$ I have been quite pleased. If they break I figure I get a new pair, the good thing is I haven’t broken them yet. I sweat like a Brahma bull from 4/1 until 10/1. So when outdoors, mine are covered with sweat and I'm telling you, I could delaminate a pair of those calcuttas in a few weeks.

Anyone tried any Calcutta glasses? I’ve thought about trying a pair Have had two pairs. Neither made it through one summer. I know they are cheap, but they aren't a shadow of a premium sunglass model. Good to know. I have a pair of glass costas I really like them. I’ve had them for 5 or 6 years and I know I will eventually break them or something will happen.

Smith ChromaPop are by far the best sun glasses in terms of optical quality and durability that I have ever owned, tried or borrowed.

Need bamaeyedoc to hook me up with some free lasic so I can give some decent feedback on this thread I have a very mild prescription (-1.0) for both eyes and one eye has a slight bit of correction for astigmatism. I buy all my glass from: https://www.zennioptical.com/You can get a very nice set of prescription sunglasses for less than $30 complete with nice frames, lenses and the tint color and darkness level that you want. I have several pairs of prescription glasses and sun glasses that I have bought through them and they all have been just as nice, if not nicer, any I have bought through an optician's office and I have got them for about 90% cheaper and had a bigger selection to choose from. You could order custom non-prescription sunglasses through them, by just putting all zeros in the prescription form. Why would you do this? Well because they are prescription, the lens quality is excellent.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Pay $11 ship them back to costa & they’ll fix them & send them back to you Not anymore. Lenses are $89 now. I sent a pair back with a cracked lense and they sent me a brand new pair. So I guess it was like getting a new pair for less than half price

I wear Sun Cloud polarized sunglasses. They are a knock off of Costa and so far I like them as well as the previous 2 pair of Costa's I have owned.

I was debating between Costa and Maui Jim until I found out Costa has a lifetime warranty and Maui Jim doesn’t. For that much money I’ll take one the better warranty.

I recently bought a dozen pair from eBay. They are Nemesis brand, safety shades,. Anzi Z87 rated, and I paid like $27 for the dozen. I got two pair in each truck, one on the tractors, one for the motorcycle and a couple in the barn. I can see just as good as you Costas and I don't get all teary eyed if I break or loose them.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

just bought two pair of Calcuttas. replaced my Costa's which had the rubber part of the arms failing for a second time. Got them thru West Marine website. Thing I paid $55 for both and that included shipping. LIKE THEM! no more Costa's for me.

Here is my run down on sunglasses
Costas - expensive, quality lenses, heavy, lenses crack too easy Ray-Ban - I have a pair with carbon fiber frames that are 10-12 years old. But now the lenses are starting to delaminate. They also scratched fairly easy and were expensive And they don't make this model anymore (go figure) Wiley X - quality lenses, not as easy to scratch, but REALLY hard to clean, almost everything just smears around on the lense. I did like the Z87 rating so I could wear them when I visit job sites. I have had them for a couple years and now the frames are starting to peel pretty bad. Smith - The croma pop lenses are sweet and I really want a pair, but every one I try on feel HUGE. I guess my head is too small. Crossfire - cheap ($12 non-polarized, $20ish polarized) a great value for the price. Z87 rated Kast King - I just bought a pair of these polarized glasses. So far I like them a good bit and they are cheap ($25-30) UVEX - great value, again they fit too big for me. Venture Gear - I have a pair on the way, they are Z87 rated.
The hands down best pair of sunglasses I ever had were DSO Jimmies back in the early 2000's. Of course they no longer make that style and seem like a completely different company.
I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the less expensive glasses I have tried so I'm probably done with the high end stuff for a while. I believe there is plenty of quality glasses out there for $50 or less.
