I'll ask before someone else does:
She took it from him without his permission. Both their names are on the paperwork. So why isn't she potentially in trouble with the law?
She could be, it is dependent on what the title says.

Well they got divorced and she stole his car. Are they divorced or is he still awaiting a final decree to end the marriage?

Could this turn out to a Hold my Beer moment?
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

if you know her name you can easily find her address online. Multiple ways......
If the title says His name AND her name then she's in trouble
If the title says his name OR her name then she's in the clear How would she be in the clear if it’s in his name? I don’t think a title will have the word “or” in it but who knows.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

A title does but you don’t have that until it’s paid off. He he ain’t divorced he’s SOL. That’ll have to be figured in the divorce.

Mine and the wife’s vehicles are listed, my name “and/or” her name.

If you find it, put that 9 foot rattler in there and she'll either give it back or the cops will arrest her for lying and filing a false report.

If something where to happen to the vehicle that the ex wife is currently driving. The SUV might come out of hiding.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

My friend called me at work so i didnt have time to really think to ask. All he said was both our names are on the loan. Her as a co signer. Its not paid off so im guessing the title is at a bank.
Its honestly his car alone. But she did co sign. They moved out and divorced on the same day i know. He said she took the spare keys and got a friend to hide the car. The divorce lawyer supposedly said he cant make her do anything. The cops said they cant do anything. Seems like the divorce lawyer would have had her name taken off the loan. Im confused. So they lived together until the divorce was final? I'm confused. You cannot remove a co-signer from a loan. Your friend would have to re-finance the loan to remove her name. If the divorce was final, there should be a judgement on who gets possession of the car. I'm thinking they have filed for divorce and have yet to have a final hearing. In which case, he is screwed.

Seems like the divorce lawyer would have had her name taken off the loan. Im confused. A divorce doesn’t undo a contract between your friend’s now ex-wife and the bank. The bank loaned the money to BOTH of them. The bank will get their money from either one of them that it can. The bank does not care if they are married or not, marriage has nothing to do with the loan agreement between these two individuals and the bank. Something doesn’t sound right. The car should have been addressed in the divorce, it should have been part of the property settlement. USUALLY when I have an issue like this in a divorce, the party that gets the financed vehicle has 30-60 days to refinance the vehicle and provide proof that the former spouse’s name has been removed from the loan.
