I was the same way buddy. I actually do some sub contracting as a general carpenter, and a bit on my own depending on the job.

I didn't start out fasting like this at all.

What happens is when your body is use to burning sugar, you get highs and lows in your blood sugar depending on how you eat. Mostly we eat too much sugar and this forces an excess of insulin that is needed to get rid of that sugar. It has to either be burned or stored as fat. It is a liver toxin so the body must deal with it as fast as possible.

When this happens, your excess insulin causes too much of a blood sugar drop and you start feeling weak and hungry. In extreme cases or over long periods of time with too much insulin released, the body both suffers from inflammation, and insulin resistance, when extreme is called diabetes.

A much better way to do it it to make the body run off fat rather than sugar. Your body will convert it into a form of sugar to be burned but this is different than eating sugar or foods that trigger insulin, because this process doesn't trigger an insulin reaction and is the way we are designed to function anyway.

It does take 3 months off sugar for cells to change structure to properly burn fat,but when they do,they become much more efficient,so you get more energy. That plus the fact that your blood sugar is basically constant now, without the swings. That means that you don't get to feeling tired and hungry as quickly after exertion. It's the blood sugar drop after insulin reaction that is driving your weakness and hunger more than exertion.

You will get tired but recovery time of your muscles just depends on how out of shape you are. Obviously a younger healthier person would have a faster recovery than a fat older man,but it's more because of level of fitness than age.

I may could have at 50 but not now I'm afraid. Recon I'm stuck at 70lbs down. Quess if I'd lay off the Natties it would help. That and the fact that I've let myself have a cookie or bit of cake or something these days. Glad you have the will power to accomplish this. Alot of folks don't realize how hard it is to pull something like that off. Plenty folks out there eat all they want and never gain at all. I have never had that going for me.

LUCK:::; When presistence, dedication, perspiration and preparation meet up with opportunity!!!

Congrats, RH. I’ve gotten back in the gym, myself. Trying to turn myself into the best western hunting shape I can.
