That's not in the original constitution, that's an amendment..... that was my point. Before you go trying to personally insult me why don't you try comprehending what I'm typing. An amendment to the constitution is not in it's original body.
Where is the separation of church and state ammendment? I wasn't insulting you. It was an observation and personal opinion. The ammendment process was part of our founding fathers intentions so that laws could be made and ammended through a constitutional process. You used the argument for separation of church and state by citing that slavery wasn't addressed in the constitution. It was amended to address it. Where is the ammendment addressing the separation of church and state? It wasn't in the constitution, it was an idea posed by Jefferson (I think the original wording was slightly different) expressing the intent of the Establishment and Free Exercise clauses. And he never said it was "in the constitution", just that he agreed with the idea.
