If you want a brief case to last, you need to pony up the $$. Ive had mine for $20 years and it is still going strong. I carry it all the time and just grow it in the back seat if I am driving. I’ve even put it in the bed of my truck when I have the bed cover on. This. I've had my Filson computer bags and travel duffel for more than 20 years and would buy another if anything happened to the ones I have now. My duffel has traveled with me throughout the US, Austria, England, Mexico, Europe and Canada without TSA damaging anything, unlike regular luggage. My computer bags are indestructable. A friend of mine in Missouri has used a Filson computer bag for 30+ years. I also have backpacks and some Cordura computer bags, one of which I got in Columbus, Georgia, at a military supply store. It's also a good one. Black, tough, protective. Probably not what you're wanting if you want a leather one like Indiana Jones, though. The best luggage and work bags I've ever owned are Orvis. The guy that owned the Orvis store about 30 years ago in BHM had a yard sale at his house. I just happened to be walking my dog. He had all kinds of Orvis bags. I only bought 3, paid less than $30 a piece for them. I use them all the time and they are like the day I bought them. Should have bought them all. I have a Battenkill Briefcase/overnight bag but I don't see the model anymore but his one below is similar. https://www.orvis.com/p/battenkill-briefcase/4x8x
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

The Orvis gear is very good and looks great, too.

I get ads all the time for Denali leather. Look nice, but I really don't know much about them. Seem to have sales constantly.

I'm going to get one, it's very heavy duty and going to take some breaking in, but I like it. I think it was less than $120.

wife made the comment, when I mentioned seeing a nice Filson, that the Filson leather bag cost as much as the Louis Viutton duffle bag she wants (and I made the comment that the tin bag I was looking at is as much as either of the 2 Louis that she has)...maybe for my 50th next year (that one was supposed to be a new to me utv....but oh, how easily it slips the mind when a cheaper alternative comes along! HA)

I have an Orvis Battenkill and like it, but my go-to for over 20 years was a McAlister leather/waxed canvas briefcase. Can't wear them out.
