I’m usually pretty quick to call someone out when they have no respect. Most of the time they don’t even realize what they’ve done and will apologize... depends on the age. people of “know better” age will recognize, but younger usually just gets me in a “really!?!?” match...”way you gotta leave your cooler parked across the walkway and make mom and lil child walk around you in the grass?” ...”really??” “yes, really.” ....“really??” “YES, lil twerp, REALLY!”
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

People suck....avoid people and you avoid the suck fest.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Accidentally kick the damn radio into the pool, apologize profusely, and walk off.

Kids of today are no different than kids of the past generations in that they are mostly a product of the parenting they've recieved. They don't act better because they weren't taught better. So the lack of manners today are just a reflection on the parents of the last couple of decades. Mainly my generation.
The current generation of kids have almost no chance because even when they have 2 parents in the household it's hard for those parents to teach them when everyone, including the parents, are glued to their mobile devices. I'm in restaurants daily and see whole families from babies to parents , all glued to their screens. They never speak and they never look up.
I spend more time than I should on my phone but my 14 year old daughter knows when we sit down to eat neither of us picks our phone up. The people we should be talking to and correcting aren't kids. They are our friends. That won't be popular and we may find ourselves without those friends if we speak up but it's not going to change until it's acknowledged.

My sisters damn kids are a complete disaster. She asking this 3 yr old to do things like it’s a college class or something. Just tell the damn kid what to do in short words. If they don’t do it get that ass. My kids are 10&13 and know when my voice pitch changes they stop immediately. This whole do want this or please stop don’t do that has me about to flip out down here

Just tell the damn kid what to do in short words. If they don’t do it get that ass. We recently had some old home videos put onto DVD. My wife and I were watching them the other night and started laughing about how we were always “bossing” and telling our son what to do, then explaining the consequences if he didn’t listen. I don’t want to pretend we were “Parents of the Year”, but our son (27) turned out pretty well and I think a lot of that had to do with 2-things. He was raised in a household with two parents and the other was that we established rules and expectations with punishment being administered consistently based on behavior.

And having 2 parents that back each other up helps too. I can’t stand one parent saying one thing and kid appealing to the other parent and getting a different answer. We rule together at my house

We rule together at my house We do it that way too. And if one of us tells the kids no, they know better than to go ask the other parent. That causes immediate consequences.

Just another reason I hope I never go to "the Gulf" again, I loathe that place. PSA, y'all can drive a few more hours and go to nicer, less crowded beaches and spend less $ doing it. St. Augustine Beach is one such beach that comes to mind.

I used to love going to Ft Walton beach but I’m done with the high rise condo beach cities after experiencing peace and quiet on the beach last year.
Same here. Our family used to go to Panama City until about ten years ago when we discovered the peace and quite and great fishing at st George island. . I promise I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that you can walk out on the beach behind the house we rent, look 300 yards in both directions and lots of times you can count on your fingers and toes how many people you see. Hush yo mouth.

Last week a group of teens had rap music playing loud with every other word being an "F Bomb". I walked over to their canopy and told them the music wasn't family friendly and my grandkids we're hearing it. I told him to turn it off or I would turn it off for him. The radio never played again that week. I'm not a big fellow at all, but at 60 years of age I don't put up with much.

Used to be a man demanded some respect and it was givin or a ass whooping was headed out. That stopped about the time people figured out you could sue someone cause the coffee was to hot. There’s a documentary called “Hot Coffee” you should watch it.
