This is one of many reasons we don't have animals in the house.

I had a husky mix that would shed like crazy in the summer. I started shaving him every summer. No more shedding and he loved it.

Same here. Plus they lick their crotch and drag their buttholes
across the carpets. No thanks.

I feel your pain. I have a 8 month old Chesapeake Bay retriever that sheds pretty bad. They have a dual coat so you wind up with the coarse top coat hair and a super fine DAMN fluff that floats everywhere. I use a glove with short spikes/nubs, silicone I think, to remove loose hair. If I use it once per week it keeps the shedding to a minimum. I also bathe him about once per week.

Get rid of the dog and get a pet snake. The don’t shed very often and it’s easy to clean up.🤔

It does help to keep them shaved down, but I don't think all dogs can be shaved enough to stop it too much. Brushing and baths.

That is exactly why I don't have a German Shepherd. My wife, who likes small dogs, does not want a large dog that sheds in the house.

My labs have always blown their coat out a few times/year. It goes from average to over-the-top in a day or two when it happens.

Possibly an allergy and/or diet related. Bathing and brushing helps, too. Been there, have the hair.

We dont keep animals in the house either but if you walk outside and brush up against the dog you should not have to change clothes like my son did today. [Linked Image]
