I have 2 dogs, my puppy Juice sheds an amount of hair I have never seen. The kids like bringing her in from time to time but I cant let them at this time. The shedding is ridiculous. Is there any way to slow down or decrease shedding?
I picked her up today from where she stayed while we were at the beach on the way home today. I had to put her in the cab as the bed was full and this is what was in my truck after a 20 min ride.

Get some large moving blankets, keep them in the tool box for when the dog is inside.

My 2 beagles were that bad at one time, and the cause was allergies in both.

I got a dang old cur dog somebody gave me that sheds worse than any short haired dog I’ve ever seen, we have to change hvac filters on all 3 floors of the house every week and my hardwood looked like shag carpet until we got these little robot vacuums for each floor

This is where I am now. I cant stand the hair so I just dont let em in currently. But it cant be normal imo. But it's worse than that, if she rubs up against you, your clothes are done for the day it's really a pain and she is a great dog but I cant do the hair

Talk to your vet. Ask about perhaps making a change in diet to help with it, but, also, brush the dog really, really well and give it a bath. It should help get a lot of the old hair out, but unless you have a non-shedding breed, you will continue to have some shedding. It may be that if the dog is put on a regular brushing and bathing schedule that it will become more manageable.

How long have you been using silver nail polish on your toes?

My wife is a groomer and she uses a de-shedding treatment and a high velocity blower made especially for removing loose hair from dogs. Check with your local groomer to see if they offer that treatment.

This worked on our black mut. Shedding like nobodies business every year when it gets hot. We've paid for 2 de-shedding baths at our local groomer ($30 each) and brush her two or three times a week now and her shedding is minimal. Ours wasn't due to allergies, she was just blowing her undercoat and does it every year. Its a PITA but easy enough once you get it under control (and keep it there)

we do the same (de-shedding bath) to our old girl (aussie/beagle mix) that has a heavy undercoat. we still have fur bunnies inside, but not anywhere near as bad as if we didn't have it done...fur elephants!

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

sometimes nerves cause it along with several other things. I bought some special shampoo that helps with shedding. You can get it at most doggie stores.
