It seems to me like the old boy put himself in a bad position. I didn’t see a long gun, and his side arm is holstered. If the folks in that sub had opened that hatch with a gun in their hand that would have been all she wrote.

Granted the others would have taken the sub out, but that really wouldni‘t have done him much good.

So was the dude that first boarded the sub a USCG or someone like DEA? One article I saw referred to them as "Federal Agents launching from a CG Cutter"

Semi-submersibles is what they are called. They cannot dive below, but operate at the surface to create a very limited RADAR return to hopefully slip past. Some do, others don't.

Not sure on the first guy in the video, but USCG is a Federal Agent. This is exactly what they do all the time, although most people don't know about the tactical side of the USCG. I spent 20 years in the USCG.

I spent some time with a guy from USCG Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) on an avation project. USCG snipers are the real deal. What they could do out of a moving helicopter was impressive.

Saw a special on those drug subs a while back and they said they had not caught any in action. Well now they have. Impressive, that ol boy said the hell with this and I got it.

Got a cousin whose husband was a pilot on a gun helicopter. They'd put a 50 cal round in the boat moter in a minute.

Those snipers are the real deal. If I remember correctly, I read a while back where a USCG helo sniper beat out snipers from all other branches in a sniper competition
