For the gurus, what say you. I want a suite, but they are pretty much raping folks on their prices. Is it a pain in the arse to stay off resort and then visit the different parks?

It is much easier to stay on, unless you have a free place to stay like we do. Staying off, there are parking costs every day plus the pain of driving and parking. Factor those in the equation.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I try not to go anymore
We've stayed in suites and villas at Disney. I don't need to do that again.
My favorite hotel if I have to go is the Four Seasons.
The last time we went & hopefully the last time I ever go.😁 we rented a massive private home less than 10 minutes from the parks with a private pool , game room/pool table, etc . Was a very nice way to visit if I have to go.lol

Go to Billy Swamp Safari down in the Everglades instead.
Rent one of the Gazebos over the water.
MUCH better than Disney IMO. But go during cooler months.

Stay on property. We always stay in a value resort. Only sleep and shower in the room.

Staying off was a pain getting in and going through the parking hassle. Staying on, walk out to bus and go wherever you want within a few minutes. We usually stay at Pop Century or Art of Animation

This is the answer!!! If you are going with kids the only things used in the room will be the bathroom and the bed. If you are going without kids then there are billions of better options for a vacation.

We stay on the resort when we go. I usually get the cheapest room possible. You spend very little time in the room and after the first day you are so exhausted it doesn’t matter what the beds are like.

After working there, staying off really wouldn't be THAT bad, but I won't argue that staying on property really is easier.

There are hotels pretty close to every park. But staying on, you can just use their transportation and they drop you off right at the front.

Pop for the moderate resort over the value and there are fewer "handicapped" (scooter user) people at those.

we refer to those as handifat scooters.......kinda like the woman in the Disney Land brawl video a week or so ago. Meemaw came barging into the middle of the fight on her scooter, then hopped up and waddled around before getting knocked out.

Stay on Property is My pick. We used to ride the buses to the Parks but now We just ride to the parks in Our own vehicle. Parking is free if You stay on property and it is a lot quicker to drive Yourself to the parksand more peaceful. The buses are crowded and they take forever to get to stop and then they meander around to other resorts before they drop You off at the Parks.

Wife’s family always rents a house off site and stays there. It’s close to the resort and the parking/riding isn’t bad.

When the time comes that I spend the stupid amount of money it would cost to take a family of 4 to Disney for a week, I will be staying onsite, in one of the mid-level places. I figure I'm already spending an obscene amount of money, what's a few more $ to not have to hassle with getting to/from the park and parking and all that.

Thats my thoughts we have family of 6 and the cabins r just so much better for just a tad more money full kitchen n grill on porch is nice if staying a week, have coffee on porch n watch deer walk by in morning cook breakfast then hit the parks
