Looks like their 4G network in many rural areas has crapped the bed. I've been dealing with them since 7/20 on poor service at home. Their coverage map shows my address having excellent 4G service. I think 1 bar of signal is far from excellent.

Looking at comments on their social media sites indicates it's not an isolated event.

Anybody else having problems.

It has gone to shucks the last year. It’s worse then sprint.

And it got even worse when they built the new tower near your house.

Signal hasn't been worth crap at my parents house the last few months. Sounds like we're not the only ones having trouble

Same issues with AT&T for me. Service has progressively gotten worse the last year.

Verizon has gotten bad. I will be driving down the road and drop a call where I never had issues untill lately.

Some here will be along shortly to shout you down regarding this post. They refuse to believe that Verizon isn't the best everywhere.

Verizon went way downhill here a couple of years ago.

That can happen. Its closer so you are routed to it. But if cell antenna doesn't have enough down tilt it will over shoot you.

dang, I've been moving ever closer to switching to Verizon from c spire for the same issue...I think they've all outgrown themselves and service has gone to the wayside over gimmicky add-on junk...aka upsells.

I do not think it is just rural areas. I have seen a noticeable difference in Mobile(work off of airport/Hillcrest) where I have never had issues. I have been a customer since Alltel and have paid more money to stay with them based on confidence getting a signal in the woods. I am hoping this is resolved soon.

Im looking acroos the valley from me here in Oregon at a new tower. The farms 1 mile away and has dead spots. Guess the waves travel over our heads lol

It sucks but it's still better than anything else out there.

Yep, that new tower is about 3 miles my house and about two miles from Brad. My cell service got noticeably worse when they brought it online.

Yep. Tried contacting them today after dealing with it for about a month. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. It’s been garbage lately.

I agree with the consensus that they have gone down from where they used to be. I used to keep max signal here at my house on Dauphin Island. Three bars right now.

They have "Been Bad" here in our area of Auburn.

The Verizon stores are totally intolerable. They obviously have a policy that says no customer can spend less than three hours in there.
