I might piss some of ya'll off, but I don't see any reason a civilian would have a need for that. I agree with you on the 100 round drum magazine. However banning them won’t minimize mass shootings like this. I agree no one needs 100 rds, 30 is stretching it for me but like said above this will not stop anyone from killing if they want to. And like someone else said never give away your rights.

You are entitled to your opinion, but the fact remains the constitution reads “shall not be infringed”. When we give an inch they take a mile. First it’s drums, then standard capacity 30 rd mags, then 10’s and soon we are single shots, then no guns at all. It’s a slippery slope that there is climbing back up. The second amendment was put in place to defend us from the over reach of a tyrannical government. We the people should have any and all means necessary to defend ourselves. Period. Well said sir.

A long time ago, on here, somebody threatened to call the law, GW and anybody else that they could dial up if they ever came upon me while I was hunting with an AR type weapon. Seems like I remember who it was (has a different screen name now)but, yes, there are people on here that would have us disarmed down to black powder guns if they had the final say.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

What is illegal about hunting with an ar type weapon? That was stupid on their part. His little feelings were hurt by that evil black weapon so he thought NOBODY should be allowed to hunt with them. I suspect that there are a few old timers on here that remember that little squabble.

Whether we need 100 round drum magazines or not has nothing to do with anything. What does matter is that the very rights that this country was founded on no longer look anything like it was spelled out to be. Liberal interpretation of the constitution and the bill of rights has played a huge part in leading us to where we are now as a country and as a society.
60 years ago mass shootings were virtually unheard of. Rape and murder stats were way lower than today. Kids for the most part were not taught that gay is ok. Most kids could recite the 23rd Psalm, the Lords Prayer, and knew the Golden rule. Most men worked to EARN a living. Few people divorced.
Today people think that the guns themselves are evil. We don't even blink an eye when the evening news tells about all of the rapes and murders. Many kids don't have a clue what John 3:16 says. Boy and girl scouts have gay troop leaders. About half the country is dependent on a handout from Uncle Sam. And the divorce rate is ridiculous.
What has changed?
I could go on forever but we have had leadership with no morals for to long. Bill Clinton, almost Hillary, and Obama majored in Constitutional Law. Coincidence?
It's not just our politicians. We are to blame for letting it happen on the home front too.
