I agree and have a few. A rough one I brought back from the dead with a modified barrel and one almost like I had stolen with a full choke barrel (both in 16 gauge). I also have 2 3" 12 gauge model 12s. Those are very well built, but will make you poor to tote 'em.

Did you hit the doe with one 000 pellet behind the ear?

1995 Chambers county .308 huge fat nanny goat. After 3 years of hunting public land in South Florida and not killing one, I headed north to beautiful Alabama and Rockfence Station. After several days of not seeing anything, I finally got it done. I remember getting lost in the morning dark and getting destroyed by briars walking in plus I got my feet wet crossing an unexpected creek. When I finally found the flagging and the stand, I was wet and it was light. I was all upset as it became light and figured I'd never kill a deer. Nothing was coming with the noise I made. After about 20 minutes her comes 3 does and one was huge. Never seen a doe that big since. She was within 25 yards and I put the scope on her neck and dropped her in her tracks. One of the happiest days of my life.

13 yrs old, doe, International Paper Land, Hardeman County, TN, Remington 700ML .50cal out of a Tree Lounge. I had saved up and bought them with my own money. I still have both of them.

42 years old. Last day of hunting season, 2 hours before dark. Ten Point Crossbow ~100 pound doe.

I was seven years old sitting on a green field with my dad and shot prolly a 50 lb doe. Weapon was a pre64 243 win I believe ill have to look. Deer folded so fast I thought I had missed until dad showed me its legs sticking up in the air. Shot it in barbour county

I grew up hunting in the big woods of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, big deer when you find them but not plentiful and hard to hunt so I didnt kill my first deer till later in life when I moved down here. first deer was a "management" hunt on a local property, killed a small 5 point with a Tenpoint Titan crossbow. First gun deer was with 30-06 Savage 110, first muzzleloader deer was with Knight DISC 45 cal.

Remington 700 .270 Win. Killed my first deer with it....8 pt. Many years later, had it stolen from my truck while I was catching a few winks before getting up to go look for a deer I had shot at last light but had no flashlight of any kind. Found the deer laying in the road a few yards from where I gave up the evening before. Two years after it was stolen, the Pcola police call to say they arrested a guy with it and to come get it. I call the insurance company and tell them it is their gun since they paid my claim on it. Five years later, the Pcola police tell me to come get it because insurance company never fooled with it. That year I killed my biggest Florida buck to date with it....11 pt.

Winchester 1400 12 ga. using Winchester #1 Buck. Small 7Pt killed in the Everglades off Jane's Scenic Drive. I was 13 and with my grandfather on a swamp buggy.

I will never forget those awesome memories!

1976 at Wendells Lodge in Aliceville, AL. A man my father worked with at Ford Motor Company invited me down to hunt with him. I had just turned 16 and was excited. We hunted in a drizzle for two days and on the second evening the dogs ran a spike right to me. I emptied my 20 ga Browning automatic and then loaded two more buckshot in it and shot them also. He was a world record in my eyes, but probably didn't weigh a hundred pounds. Thanks Thomas Overton for one of the best memories of my life.

Model 7 in .243. Freedom hills wma in 94. I was10. Basket 7 point nearly ran over me and Dad. I shot him at 8-10 steps.

1st 25 or so were with a bow.... first being a PSE Baby G. The first gun killed deer was with a Browning 30-06 BAR.

AU338MAG......Ha! I remember that deer too. Seems like that one was a little smaller! Down in Tuskegee if I remember correctly. Damn you man! You have a lot of dirt on me! Same gun and yes 000 buck!
