The slats running that way would suck.

The first climber I had the slats ran that way but it was a cougar claw circa 1990?

Must be steel due to the rust that I see and probably from the early 90s. I see potential to roll an ankle standing on that and contorting/leaning around to get a shot.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Maybe a guy on the line was drunk when he put it together. I remember hunting out of a an older Summit that had slats running that way. Had a hand climber if memory serves.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

The give away is the hinged cover flap you open adjust the length of the cable. I like that old system much better than the newer models but it will swing open when your climbing if you’re not careful and it will bend after a lot of use. I like that setup too, but I aways drilled out the rivet and removed them flimsy locks. Never had a problem with a cable coming loose.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.
