So through my research I've started looking at these. So, what's the story? Apparently they buy these from Japan on the gray market, refurbish them and sell them with a warranty. Does anyone have one of these older Yanmars? I've contacted a guy about this one. Apparently he bought it from Fred's... It's in my cash price range. ![[Linked Image]](https://images.craigslist.org/00F0F_l35RRdYBVVx_1200x900.jpg)

They liked to blow head gaskets, and was in comfortable to operate IMO.

I looked at them at fredricks. They seem pretty nice, I went with a mahindra though. Really good folks to deal with there. I’ve seen a lot of the yanmars in peoples fields

As much as I hate debt, my advice is go ahead and borrow a little money so you can buy a John Deere, Kubota or even a Mahindra. It pains me to say, but the Mahindra really seems to be a good quality tractor.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I have a YM3000 but it didn't come from Frededicks. Tough as nails and it has been abused something terrible.
My lease partner bought a small one from Fredericks that he sold after 6 or 7 years but he never had a minutes trouble with it.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

If I remember correctly, Phil army had a bad experience with them and one of their yanmars. But, he is the only person I e heard of that had problems with one. My father in law had one, never had a minutes trouble, but that thing would beat you to death on rough ground and wasn’t comfortable for someone 6’4” to operate.
I think they are solid, no frills tractors. I had a terrible experience with the one I bought. Had to load it up 3 times to take it back to them. In the 6 months or so that I had mine I got about 30 minutes of work done on mine. I ended up trading it for a commercial-grade zero turn and some guns. My lessons: 1) buy local, even if it costs a little more 2) 5 hours roundtrip gets old, especially when you're a busy guy like me 3) next tractor I buy will be a new one from a local dealer or a used one that's been put through hell and still ticking

I had a yanmar 2500 two wheel drive for years. Very dependable. Only Drawback was no power steering. Best thing bout it was It had a 4 speed pto . Most tractors have one speed. Made it perfect using a mower or garden tiller. Love that little tractor . Some guy drove all the way from mobile to Florence to buy it after I got a bigger kabota. Could only pull one row breaking plow or 4 ft disc but it was very dependable. I think most all less than 50hp JOHN Deere engines are made by yanmar now.
