Gonna miss the deep south completely. Might hit NC.

I'm concerned about it crossing the Florida peninsula into the gulf and restrengthening.

This is what's going to happen unless it turns north and skitters along the coast or goes up through the Bend and into GeorBamaSippi.

Thats a big negative. We dont want this one getting into the gulf at all. Water's hot hot hot and it will spin back up quickly just as soon as it gets back over water. PC and surrounding areas to the east are still not built back due to lack of contractors and subcontractors to handle the sheer volume of work. It'd be great if it stayed out in the Atlantic but if it's gotta hit somewhere, it need to be a single landfall, not multiple landfalls. Most of the latest models are showing it heading north once it makes landfall and staying over land. There are still a few showing it entering the gulf but the majority are now showing a straight northerly or NE drift to it once it makes landfall.

No kidding! We damn sure don't want it getting into the Gulf. If it does, there will be further damage and possible loss of life.

One thing is for certain, it will either hit Florida or not. After that no one knows what it will do. That is my official scientific opinion.
