Had a guy tell me Today that you have to have a burn permit in order to legally burn standing millet. I’ve never done it before but was planning on trying it this year. Is that true or am I fine to just do it when I want?

If is isn't a large field I've never heard of a permit being required

Anything over .25 acre needs a burn permit. Just have to call and get one.

Unless it has changed in recent years this is good info. Do you still need to know your Section, Township and Range type info or do they use GPS coordinates now? Asking for the OP and myself.
