Kind of amazing something that big and powerful has no control over its own movement. It is literally just out there at the mercy of the winds. Well...It’s not a living thing.

My uncle is just screwed all the way around right now, he's still going to be impacted by the storm (he's little NE of Orlando) and he may not be able to move up to North Carolina Friday as planned
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

The edge of the eye wall is where the strongest winds are and it's been parked on that island for a long time. The destruction will be horrific.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I just finished boarding the back windows of house here in J'ville. People here are freaking out about this hurricane. I do hope it turns north then northeast and heads out to the Atlantic. Bahamas got hit really hard. luckily we're not in a flood zone here. I ask you guys & gals lift up a prayer for us Floridians.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

The edge of the eye wall is where the strongest winds are and it's been parked on that island for a long time. The destruction will be horrific. I'm amazed by the videos. Not of how much is destroyed, but at how much is still standing. I figured it would have leveled every structure on the island.

Just read a story about the strict building codes in the Bahamas. The buildings may still be standing but there aint anything they can do about the water. Many people have had to punch out through their roof.

I'm trying to decide on where to place communication assets. Money is tied to those choices. Particularly lives are at stake. Wish I could forecast this thing. So what are you placing? Cell carriers have portable stations. Military and civilian gov agencies can use Sat and BLOS. FMV downlink would be nice. Dragoon our Vortex if able. Two way radios with repeaters can work well too. Just wondering what you’re placing and why. Just curious.
Don't blame me for your bad decision-

I saw a report on Weather Nation a few minutes ago that reported zero movement currently. It's just sitting and grinding.
