Both should be standard bullet connectors on the back of the switch, it should work fine AS LONG AS you can figure out that yellow goes to yellow, red goes to red, so on and so forth.....  I can figure out the colors, but what happens to me on mechanic jobs would be something like one of the wires will break way back in the boat, and when I try to pull it out I will break off the livewell switch, and break something else when trying to fix that.  It's always the old joke about trying to drain the swamp and then the alligators show up. Start messing around with the wiring on a 9 yr old boat and the alligators will come.
