Go read 12 Strong and you will get a real idea of how hard those Afghans are. I worked counter IED in the early days of the GWOT and seeing first hand what those evil bastages done drove home how hard and truely fanatical they are.

There is a lot of truth in this thread and a lot of bravado. LEO already confiscated firearms without cause look at the current PFA laws, some report 80% false claims and abuse yet its still the law, and routinely enforced. The IED is in fact the only way to combat a technologically superior fighting force and even the afghans with access to lots of UXO and fertilizer couldn’t stand up to the might of the US military and CIA intelligence.
