I always find this interesting gman and since this was brought up ill add my .02 so take it as that. The designation "white coat syndrome" is a real thing however you still have high blood pressure. Its just anxiety or stress in a relative sense that is driving that blood pressure up. Its great his BP is supposedly fine sitting on the couch but it may really be high when he is out and about during the daily grind and stress. Its something to definitely keep an eye on. Id go ahead and say he has high BP he just doesn't know it yet.
