To prove he is living/attending school in Alabama. What does it have to do with driving, nothing that i know of but it is the "rules".

"The minimum driving age in Alabama is 16. However, there are certain exceptions and restrictions:

Required Documentation
Certified Birth Certificate
School Enrollment Form-If you are 19 and older, you will be exempt from this form.
Social Security Card

16 years of age but under 18, must have a valid Learner’s License for 6 months before taking road test.

Fees
$5, written test, eye exam
$36.25 Learners Permit, valid for 4 years

Hours for testing: 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday excluding holidays"

from Madison county site.

Didn't think you needed those bills. I didn't know about the school thing. Shouldn't matter you can take the test in any drivers license office you want too.

"In time of war, send me all the Alabamians you can get, but in time of peace, for Lord's sake, send them to somebody else." General Edward H. Plummer

"Blessed are those who, in the face of death, think only about the front sight." Jeff Cooper

You need to pucker your bunghole and start saving money to pay the even higher cost of insurance after his first wreck

Well I’m hoping he doesn’t have a wreck. Insurance didn’t change a bit when I added him for his permit. Now when he gets his license and has his own truck I’m sure it will

Mine literally doubled each time I added another kid. Luckily they are out of the house and paying their own insurance now.

Well, checked him out of school, rushed to Pelham DMV and they wouldn’t even give him a waiting number. Jumped in truck and hauled butt to Columbiana. Got here at 3:00 and he was only one here to take test. He is taking it now. Hope he passes so I can get this behind me
