Good old Aldeer, home of the Alabama educated experts on the world, those who have never left their home counties...LMAO. Honestly I'm phucking sad for you folks. It doesn't represent us well. hahahahahaha, if I drove back to my hometown and said this statement over a loud speaker it would offend 90% of the town. This applies to (I would guess) 85% of people in Alabama if not higher. Heck I've moved all around the country and I'm just one county North of my home county growing up..... of course the job market in Huntsville is an anomaly but still.

Before I joined the Army I had never been North of Montgomery. My young life was mostly spent in SE Louisiana, NW Florida and South Alabama. While serving I was either stationed or trained in every state East of the Mississippi at one time and served in Central and South America. Our unit was scheduled to be in Egypt but due to a drug running General in Panama that was changed. Never served in Europe or crossed the big pond. Having said this whenever I was in those places I felt sorry for the folks that lived there and not in Alabama like me.

If I hadn't left home to go to UA, or joined the AF, I'd be stuck in my hometown. That's assuming I could have found reasonable employment in my tiny town.
