My son is a soon-to-be grad with a Master's in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn. He has significant intern experience. - primarily in production and quality. He's bright and ready to get moving with a position.

My son is graduating from AU in December with an Industrial Engineering degree. He has a job with a company in Nashville that does commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. jobs. He interned with a company in Atlanta and had an offer there as well.

Tell him to look for work in Texas gulf region and south Louisiana. All the refineries and plants down here are expanding. My unit is going to be building a brand new polyethylene glycol unit. Lake Charles has some of the largest liquified natural gas plants in the world being built right now. Pay down here is very competitive because it’s hard for companies to retain talent cause the job market is so wide open.

I work with a hospital manufacturing company in Montgomery called STERIS. We hire and have quite a few AU engineers. PM if he's interested. We have great benefits and good work place. If he doesn’t mind being in or around Montgomery. Lol

Tell him good luck. Job Markets his for the choosing tell him to take his time, but don’t be afraid to change companies or careers while he’s young if he’s not happy at one place.

Finding a job won’t e a problem. My advice would be don’t buy a brand new truck out of the gate and go backpack hunting out west while young and free because the next time he’s free enough he won’t be young.

Of all the things in life that you may have to worry about, your son finding as job with a MS in IE should not be one of them. It is only a matter of where does he want to live.

No kidding, biggest problem should be figuring out what he's going spend all of the money he's going to be making on. Hopefully not on student loans. Engineering grads with a BS are starting out making crazy money, like $75-100k
