So I've started the process of looking to Wyoming for out of state hunting.

I've purchased 1 preference point for deer & 1 point for antelope.
I'm contemplating going back in and purchasing a bighorn sheep point but $150..ouch.

Does anyone have any pointers for Wyoming in particular or out of state hunting in general.

Thank you

- Don't go 2 years between applying for a license/bonus point or you'll lose them. They'll warn you via email though.
- Find someone who understands the application process, odds, etc. If you're looking for a Red Desert antelope hunt before about 2025, you're SOL.
- Look for areas with "low public land access" as a lot of people won't put in for them.
- Applying as a party can help your odds.

You’ll need about 20 points for the sheep hunt. And don’t use N2TRKYS as a guide. 😜

20+ years if you are lucky for anywhere you have to draw a tag for any sheep specie.

Call me about antelope. I outfitted in Sourh east Wyoming for several years.

That's exactly what I've heard.
I'm thinking of it like saving for retirement. The sooner you start the better off you'll be, long term goal.

Wyoming antelope could be on my radar someday.
Or I couid turn into a full time fisherman and say to hell with it.

If you want a sheep hunt in your future; you’ll need to apply on more than one state.

I got a late start at 32 years old. I apply in 8 different draws for Rocky, Desert and California bighorn sheep.

Antelope draws with no PP are doable. Also, people like BGH might be able to hook you up with landowners, etc.

Antelope hunting in Wyoming, or any place really, could be addictive. Been twice, wouldn't mind going back.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

We hit Ten Sleep up last year. It was fun for my first out of state hunt. I wish I’d bought an antelope tag because I was covered in them for 7 days.

Am told by family they shoot antelopes at golf courses. Big game hunter can provide all info you'd want.

I've given up on sheep. I'm too old, ain't going to happen. I'll just glass them while I'm trying to find an elk, or deer, or antelope or bear. Maybe when I retire I'll go for a stone or dall. Ah, probably not, but it's fun to dream.

Antelope isn't hard to draw every year in either WY or MT.

What’s it cost to go on an antelope hunt roughly?
I bet a 6.5 Creedmoor would make a damn nice antelope gun.

Only if it doesn’t clash with your skinny jeans or man bun.
