if buying a new truck now I would get a Ford. but I wouldn't touch one of those Ecoboost motors with a 10 foot pole. 5.4 for me. Those eco boosts are the only ford motor I will touch. The power and acceleration and towing capabilities blow the v8 away and I have had both the 5.4 and the 3.5 and looking at possibly getting a 2.7 as well. The 3.5 is a beast Lol 3.5 and beast should not be used in the same sentence Yeah. And i wouldn't hit a dog in the azz with one of those Ecodouche pick em ups 😁

I have a 2500 & f150. I would rather own 1 Chevy than 2 Fords. My wife picked out the Ford for herself, it's a girls truck for sure.

After being told basically to F off by Chevrolet customer service when my brand new truck's transmission started making awful noises 3 days after I bought it, I have bought my last GM product. They told me it was normal for the design and to get a lawyer and sue them because they weren't going to fix it and I just had to live with it. That was in 2000. Did it go out? When did it have to be replaced? No, I wasn't going to accept a new truck that made horrible transmission noises at 3 days old. As I said, I called Chevrolet and was told to sue if I wanted anything done. So, I called the dealership every day explaining that this wasn't going to stand. After getting no help, I went to the dealership on a busy Saturday and quietly told them I wasn't going to accept the truck and would stay there as long as I had to and be as loud as I had to until they did the right thing. They finally realized I was not going away and offered to swap the transmission with another new truck on their lot. I drove that truck and all seemed well so I agreed to this. They swapped the transmissions and I took the truck. It was a good vehicle after that and in fact was one of the best I have ever owned. But being treated that way by Chevrolet ended my GM ownership days after that truck. I like a chevy, but you were a little nicer than I most likely would have been. Glad it worked out.

GM trying to move production to Mexico, and seen a article today that Fiat/Chrysler is moving production of pickups back to the USA from Mexico. Hopefully Ford keeps making them, I ain't buying a truck made in Mexico.

They ALL look like girl trucks these days. Once they all come with AC, AT, and PS they quit being made for men.

It not GM's fault, it's the Auto Unions fault and the Democrats fault. You wouldn't be a Union member would you ? And didn’t the unions back killary in’16? Could this be a way the dems are trying to sabotage trump for ‘20?

we just bought a few sierras and are having fits with the fuel pumps...already replaced 6 pumps and haven’t had them 6 months, yet. no fuel cap lets dust into the tank. once warranty is up we’ll be installing older fuel necks with caps on them.
how was it stated in a previous thread...paraphrased: y’all still whining about government motors this long after the bailout (the one that went to corporate bonuses instead of into the company)
YES What do you mean? Do the new trucks not have a gas cap? So it is just the metal cover they use?

I have an 18 Silverado and a 14 Ford Focus neither have has caps. I have not had any issues with either of my vehicles. By the way that’s my last Ford purchase. I’ll buy strictly GM products from now on. I personally have never owned a Toyota and probably never will.

Could you fold up some fabric or a wash rag and cover the hole then close the door, to act like a dust filter? That will probably set off of damn sensor. Every time I think about buying a new truck I consider this kind of crap and decide to just keep my '98 z71. And I have not had a car payment since 1993.

If it's made in Dearborn, MI. then it might as well be made in Iran.
