I’m here again. Set up in a hardwood bottom here in Dallas county. Day 3 of my 2 week vacation and I’ve been covered in deer every time I’ve stepped foot in the woods until this morning. Little surprised that I haven’t seen one yet because this is usually a jam up spot and the weather is great

This was first morning sit of the year. I scouted Monday and jumped a deer out it’s bed. Found a lot of deer poop right by the bed under a red oak that is dropping acorns. I slipped into that spot this morning and climbed right beside that feed tree. At 9am a spike walked right under me but that was all the action I saw. It was a good hunt and beautiful morning 👍🏻

First sit Of the year for me. Sitting on a funnel in a natural ground blind. Was here 30 minutes when’s doe with fawn passed by and a spike following shortly after.

Thanks, we’re a little high on the doe population, that’s my second one and I’m hoping my son gets a couple so I can focus on bucks, or head to the Cahaba refuge to try my hand at public land.

Saw 8 tonight
