Bama just isn't a CFP caliber team this year. If they politicize their way in, it will just take the opportunity away from another much better team. LSU was the only real game Bama had to play this year. Let the teams that actually earned tough wins go. They deserve it.

I don't know how they navigated this schedule against these power house teams. LOL. They don't have the resume to get in the CFP. They might politic their way in, but they don't deserve it.

That makes 6 SEC (they have 2 more on schedule) Teams Bama has played this year, so why is it so funny? Should we go ahead and Admit that the SEC is not the best conference anymore or what? I mean you tell us since you don't think they have the resume or "deserve" to get in, but Ohio and Clemson does?

It's comical when SEC teams trash each other for their schedule ( or lack there of ) when they all pretty well play the same teams with the exception of 1 game.

Some Years Bama has what on paper looks to be tough, Some years Auburn, This year LSU.

It's just something for people to get their rocks off too while they watch their team go 8-4 every year against their "hard" schedule.

The league as a whole is pretty much garbage once you get past the top 4 teams in it. May be worst we’ve seen in a long time.

There are 5 pretty good teams, SC could make it 6 with just a little help, that is approaching 50% of the conference. No other conference in the country has 5 pretty good teams.

Here's how Bama gets in the CFP.

Auburn beats Georgia and loses to Alabama, which is then 11-1 with a split against T-10/11 teams.

OSU pops PSU and Michigan, and then beats Minnesota in the Big Ten CG, eliminating the Gophers from CFP possibility.

Clemson wins out.

Oregon? Meh.

Baylor and Oklahoma have a strugglefest. Meh.

LSU looks lethargic against one of its last three teams but wins out, then beats Georgia in the SEC CG.

By then, voters will only remember that Alabama lost to LSU but not all the hubbub about the first half, Tua's mistakes, yadda yadda yadda. It will be a "quality loss" against Nos. 1-2 and therefore worthwhile, especially since Bama rebounded to win out even if it didn't win the west.

I agree but I'd say top 2 teams. Georgia, Florida, and Auburn would all lose a game or two in the Big 10 or Big 12. Everybody else blows. SEC is as weak as it's been in a long time

Arkansas and Vandy are two of the worst SEC teams in the last 20 years.
USC, MSU, ole Miss. Missouri, T A&M, Kentucky and Tenurcee are bad to average at best.
Auburn and Florida are a step behind the top 3 of LSU, Georgia and UAT.

Conference is not good beyond the top 3-5 teams IMHO.

It’s still amazing how much ANY discussion of Alabama football is such a trigger for other SEC/Big 10/etc snowflakes. I can wear a shirt to work and cause meltdowns by all the Michigan, Ohio State, Clemson, TN, GA, etc fans. There’s some SERIOUS mental anguish on display when it comes to the anti-Bammers. LOL
