stick a live hog in the heart with a thin blade knife and you'll see lots of blood. Same way with a live deer

Google "halal meat". Sounds like we got a Mooslim population on here!! Kosher food is the same way. I honestly dont see the point if the heart isnt beating its not going to bleed out any better than it will when you hang it and cut the head off after skinning The heart is beating . They don't used the bolt gun , throat is cut with them alive and standing

I might not should tell this but, one thanksgiving night years ago, my wife’s cousin knocks on the door and wants me to go see about a deer standing by the side of the road. She and her husband had come around a curve and some guy was shooting at it with a pistol. Guy jumps in car and drives off. Deer is just standing there won’t move. She wants me to go up there and fix it. Get in truck with her husband, drive back up and sure enough there stands a small six point. He places all over one side with hair drug off and his lower jaw is broke and flopping. He obviously had been hit by a car. He is going to die from starvation and I was never one to turn down free deer meat so I decide to cut his throat to finish him off. I could walk right up to the deer and touch it it was so addled. Took my knife which was so dull it wouldn’t cut butter and grabbed him in a headlock and started cutting. I was having to put so much press on the knife that the deer kept taking steps. I had a short piece of rope in the back of the truck so I tied it around is horns and tied the other end to a root. I sawed on his neck for while and got just a trickle of blood. I decided I would just stab him in the heart. I took the knife and back handed him at his heart. Well he woke up. He kicked higher than my head, I ducked and fell under him. He was still tied to the root. He flopped around like a stringer of bream flopping on a dock. I rolled out of the way and he finally quit flopping and seams to be dying. We run back to the house to get a sharp knife to dress him with but when we get back, he is gone. Shine a light down at the creek and there he stands, rope still tied to his antlers. I walk down to him, he still just standing there, I touch his back and in one motion he clears the six foot creek bank. I go back the next morning to look but no sign of him at all. So yea a lot can go wrong when you try to cut ones throat, shoot it and be done with it. Sorry for the long read. Shoulda just grabbed the Louisville slugger if you could put the dang thing in a head lock

Write this down, so I don't forget. 1. Shoot deer with .270 so it will still be alive when and if I find it 2. Cut throat with hack saw or stab with knife and root around for the jugular 3. Cut tarsals and testicles off 4 Have cooler of ice with no drain stopper, 575 dozen arras, cald 5 Soak meat on ice in cooler for 5-75 days until gray to the bone.
So I have a few questions. At what point do I gut/skin it. Do I need to get the brain out to tan the hide? Should I hang it by the neck to clean it? Who do I send the photos of the pulled jawbone to so they can verify the age? How do you cook the heart, liver, and tongue? Will it be ok to fill the cooler with Dales', Moores, or Italian Dressing or will that affect the meat graying process? I also heard I had to cook the meat well done to kill the Trichinella. Forgot about getting the azz gobblin out. They make a butt-out-tool for that!! Slather it in Zesty Eye-tallion dressing before cooking it in any manner whatsoever. That is the final step to perfecting good, fresh venison.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Kill the animal that way you'd want to be killed, humanely and worthy of respect. You may be on the receiving end of this one day.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
