Honest question here because I don’t know.
Do deer farms have insurance on the deer? Can policies be taken out on them to protect the owner from theft or disease or natural occurrences that would kill the animal?

Breeders get insurance on horses and cattle, so they should be able to get insurance for a commercial farm for deer.

Would seem logical you could. You can insure just about anything if you know where to look and got the funds. "Taylor Swift: Legs insured for $26.5 million"

The hell you say, someone shoots my dog and I am trying my best to kill you. That be a dumbass move. Go to prison over a dog??? Believe it or not, I think more of my dogs than 99.9 percent of the people I know. I don’t know you, but I would rather you take a slug to the head than either of my dogs. Just being honest.

I don’t think he had any though.. he had lost a few to disease but was about to see a little profit I think. This wasn’t insurance fraud like the idiot above suggested

No insurance on deer. It's not livestock. Did work for a deer breeder a few months ago and if I remember right he said no insurance. I could be mistaken. I don't know either, but I've got some close friends that run one and they've had several issues over the years and never collected anything. One poacher, and a tornado got the fence. They lost several that time.

I think they have a good idea who. 20,000 will make a difference. As I said I don’t really agree with deer farming but I know this guy and there’s no excuse for what was done

No sir that is the man's livliehood and I'm sure has a truckload of money invested. They need caught and punished and should be made to pay this man lost money. I'm sure though any fines will be paid to the court

One for sure. Another missing your OP says "these animals were killed" meaning plural animals....how many did he have? you just know one was killed? that would be "this animal" not "these animals" just wanting to clarify

I’m guessing that they are assuming at least 2 were killed. The remainder have been moved to another location

I know you’re being a tough guy, but valuing animal life over human life is in line with liberal views nowadays. Also, I sort of question the mentality of someone who is so attached to an animal that their self identity is so strongly affected by something negative happening to them. I don’t feel the need to kill or harm someone’s dogs, but I also wouldn’t think I would be moved to violence over a blasted dog. I guess I don’t understand.
