I agree with you gotta play the wind regardless. I use one of these in the permanent blind. It's cheaper, has lasted for years, and after it cools you can slip a gallon size freezer/storage bag over it to keep the crap out of it. I just leave it attached to the cylinder and covered all summer in the blind. Got it from Academy Sport IIRC. I agree Got one just like it. Even rigged up a little grate aboveit to warm a biscuit in foil.
