I have known people who talked about having febrile seizures as kids but all of them outgrew it after the first five or six years.
I worked as a vet tech and saw dogs and cats having various types of seizures and took it all in stride. But, seeing another person have one freaked me right out. I would like to think that if I saw someone else have one now that I would be calmer about it, but I am not entirely sure that would be the case.
You wouldn't! I have watched my wife have 3 and it still scares the absolute crap out of me every time. She's medicated for them and she's a BA/tough girl but it completely breaks my heart having to watching someone you love go through that. The confused stat after the seizure always bothers me; on all instances for about half a day my wife had no idea who I was nor her kids, it's scary, odd, and sometimes funny. As much as she means to me, I am not entirely sure I couldn't handle a kid having one; that thought alone is terrifying. My thoughts and prayers for anyone who has experience that situation
