He was Lucky to get that big sucker after that odd occurrence at the shot and the wobbly flight of the bolt/arrow. But, that sucker was gushing blood as much as I have ever seen. Dang good buck, too!

Nice deer, thanks for sharing. My buddy had the same thing happen with a ravin crossbow in the Mississippi delta this year. He missed a big buck on account of it.

Wow, awesome vid. He said that he planted some Pennington Deer Greens in September. Everything looked really healthy in that plot. I wonder how something like that would do in Alabama ? Anyone ever planted that ? If so, how did it do ? Deer like it ?

That femoral artery is a deadly shot. Had a guest at our club shoot a doe like that last year. Went 100 yds and was dead when we found her an hour later.

They are damn lucky to get that buck. It's the hunter's responsibility to know he's got a clear shot and that his limbs will clear and branches.
