The biggest time waster at work is being at work. I am wasting no less than 50 hrs a week going to, being at and leaving from work. It’s really sad in a way because the only thing worse than having a job is not having one.

Self employed. I HAVE to stay busy. I can’t sit still. Even when I get home I’m doing something to stay busy.

Try being self employed for a while. Your perspective of wasting time will change dramatically. Well, if you want to be succsessful.

You won't have all the access you need on that server or the drives and sizes you talked about won't be there. You and I must be in the same line of work.

Right after high school I worked at general cigar, when they filled a tray I would come through and pick them up and keep the machines full of tobacco. There was a lot of Downtime which we passed by drinking gin and juice.

Next job was with Russell Corp, When we finished our work, which was by 12 most days, we spent the afternoon playing horseshoes or spades. We once had a risk game board setup in an unoccupied office. It took us about two weeks to finish that game .

Now I am self employed; there’s no time for that fun stuff on the clock now

When I was 18 I worked at a wholesale tire warehouse with a couple close friends. We were young, dumb, and lazy back then and we would take two hour lunch breaks to go shoot gar with our bowfishing rigs in the creek down the road. But the best/worst part was we would go find racks of tires that had a lot of room on them and pull the tires all the way out to the edge of the racks making a wall with a hollowed out "room" behind it. We would then move stacks of tires into a zigzag type entryway where you couldn't see that anything was there but if you crawled in and around a few corners you would come out into the hidden room. We would spend HOURS hiding out in those tire forts playing on our phones and taking naps. Got away with it for probably six months or so and then we all started getting other jobs.

LOL...and walk quickly, with a concerned look on your face.

Explaining to employees what I need done or how I need something done. Probably a tie between those two

I got sent to Greene Co to work when I was in Jefferson Co. It was all overtime work. First trip I made several arrests on Sat/Sun. Monday I drove back down to sign warrants. My Capt asked me why I had to go to Greene Co on Monday. Sign warrants, ya dumbass. He told me not to make any more arrests...WTF???? Told me to drive down Sat morning and just "be seen", spend the night and repeat on Sunday and drive home Sun afternoon. He wanted me to waste all that time and money just to "be seen". What a load of crap. Of course I just continued to make arrests, blamed it on massive complaints, and drive back down on Monday. LOL
