Are you sure the scope or reticle isn't the problem. I don't have any expensive scopes but the cross hairs on all mine will cover up a 2" circle at 100yds. It's hard to shoot what you cant see.

It is pretty difficult with the reticle to "center" up. It does cover up most of the red dot at 100 yards.

I do believe I will try some 150s. Maybe I will get a chance this weekend. Good thing I only live about 20 min from range, lol.

Don't be afraid to try blue box Federal. Federal ammo has undergone substantial changes over the years and is great ammo. My son has a .270 that shoots that cheap blue box 130gr stuff to one ragged hole at 100yards and drops deer like a sack of taters.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

FWIW, get yourself a Bulls Bag, get your elbow stabliized on/against a solid surface, and try pulling the gun into your shoulder a bit to see if you can get the crosshairs stable at the shot. IMO you're not going to get tight groups if the crosshairs are moving too much.

Headed back to range this am to shoot different ammo. Also use bags versus sight vice. Will post results.

Has anybody else been with you and shot this rifle in all this effort? It may not be the gun or ammo.

It is not the ammo or the gun ibdo not think. I got some sandbags and went back today. First shot dead center 1 inch high. Next two were 3 inches left. Odd since I am right handed. I reset bags, got a different line on my elbow where I could get good cheek on gun. Shot one more and it was dead center high 4 inches. Adjusted scope down a few clicks after over compensation from previous move. Next three shots were one inch group 1-2 inch high at 100 yards. This made around 30 rounds through the gun with 165s. I am satisfied with this.

Side note, i forgot my 150s federals i bought to try so these were from the hornady 165 GMX. also, I think a led sled is great in some instances but bags are way better for me personally.
