I think I just heard a deer die a horrible death 50 yards from me.

Moved too another spot about 7:30 looking off the mtn onto a bench below at the head of a draw. Has a spike ease through about 8:30 and is now bedded about 80 yards from me sunning.

I haven’t seen any chasing or heard anyone else around here that has either.
I thought they were usually fired up by now. However, I saw 2 does with spotted fawns the second week in November.

I have pictures of bucks together the first week in December, but my area should just be getting started now. There were 3 scrapes on the way to my stand yesterday. I have high hopes for this weekend.

We’ve seen 28 so far, but some of those might be repeats. Only 1 rack buck and he was too far for my wife to shoot.

My daughter shot a little buck at 7:30. Great blood trail, but looks like we might have been pushing him. Backed out until this afternoon.

I'm expecting to see a pile of deer killed on here today.

I saw close to 15 deer this morning. A good 120"ish 8 point put a slip on me before I could get a shot. Saw several other small rack bucks and does being harrassed and chased.

Funnest morning Ive had in a long time.

This is about exactly what I heard. The other deer bounded off and started bleating at each other. Couldn't see it.
